Huddersfield 2-3 Swindon
Two defensive errors from Kevin Sharp gifted Swindon their second victory over Huddersfield inside a week. Left-back Sharp's misplaced pass allowed Eric Sabin to put David Duke clean through and claim the opening goal with less than a minute gone. And Sharp was at fault again in the first half when he dragged Danny Invincibile down in the box to concede a penalty. Swindon captain Andy Gurney converted to add to the winner he scored against Huddersfield in the FA Cup first round last weekend. Martin Smith gave the hosts some hope with a classy chip before half-time, but Sam Parkin settled the clash despite an injury-time consolation for Huddersfield striker Jon Stead.
Huddersfield: Bevan, Sharp, Youds, Moses, Jenkins, Holland,
Mattis, Baldry, Smith, Schofield, Stead.
Swindon: Griemink, Duke, Heywood, Reeves, Gurney, Jackson,
Hewlett, Robinson, Miglioranzi, Sabin, Invincibile. Referee: E Evans (Manchester).
