Wycombe 2-3 Swindon

Swindon earned victory over Wycombe with an injury-time winner from former Wanderers loanee Sam Parkin.

Containing early Wycombe pressure, Swindon dramatically snatched a 12th-minute lead thanks to on-loan Manchester United player Jimmy Davis.

Giant goalkeeper Bark Griemink made the opening with a route one clearance, the ball bouncing favourably for Parkin to control his pass inside the home defender.

It fell perfectly for Davis to angle his shot past the oncoming Frank Talia.

But within five minutes Wycombe were level, midfielder Michael Simpson's pinpoint cross being headed on at the near post by home defender Mark Rodgers and allowing Craig Faulconbridge to head home at the far post.

Although both sides searched for a second, Swindon dominated although it was Wycombe who went ahead on 72 minutes, striker Andy Rammell converting Simpson's cross with Griemink struggling.

The lead lasted a mere seven minutes with Parkin perfectly positioned to thump substitute Danny Invincibile's cross past former Swindon goalkeeper Talia.

Swindon boss Andy King was left to celebrate when striker Parkin thumped a loose ball home in injury time after Talia had parried John Jackson's initial effort.

Wycombe: Talia, Senda, Thomson, Rogers, Vinnicombe, Currie, Ryan, Bulman, Simpson, Faulconbridge, Rammell. Subs: Johnson, Cook, Dixon, Brown, Harris.

Swindon: Griemink, Heywood, Gurney, Reeves, Davis, Robinson, Jackson, Hewlett, Duke, Parkin, Sabin. Subs: Edds, Willis, Miglioranzi, Invincibile, Farr.

Referee: P Joslin (Nottinghamshire)
