Cheltenham 1-0 Huddersf'ld
Paul Brayson's third goal in four games gave Cheltenham a crucial home victory over Huddersfield. The former Cardiff striker netted the game's only goal on 71 minutes. He flicked the ball past his marker before tapping into an empty net with Huddersfield goalkeeper Scott Bevan wrong-footed. It was a cruel blow for the keeper, who kept the visitors in the match with a string of excellent saves. On 40 minutes, Brayson nipped behind the Huddersfield defence only to have his shot brilliantly saved. And Bevan was again in the thick of things a minute later when he palmed away a fierce Grant McCann drive. Further chances followed after the break with Brayson, McCann and Martin Devaney all going close. The goal finally came when Devaney's cross was headed down by striker Julian Alsop to Brayson, who found the net with a skilful finish. The visitors' best chance came on the half-hour when Danny Schofield drew a save from goalkeeper Steve Book after finding space inside the box.
