Notts County 1-1 Swindon
Swindon's wretched run of five successive away defeats ended at Meadow Lane thanks to a draw with Notts County. It was no more than Swindon deserved when Sam Parkin fired them into a 32nd-minute lead with Town's first goal on their travels since August. But after Eric Sabin had gone close three times early in the second half, County picked up the pace and dominated the closing stages. Bart Griemink denied them an equaliser when he touched a shot from Mark Stallard against the post. But he was beaten after 75 minutes when substitute Marcel Cas crossed from the right, Stallard helped the ball on and Paul Bolland ran it into the net. It was all County from then on. John Jackson scrambled a Nick Fenton effort off the line and Griemink made splendid saves to deny Cas and Darren Caskey. Griemink's goal had a charmed life and in stoppage time, Paul Heffernan (twice) and Bolland almost won it for County in an amazing goalmouth scramble.
