Barnsley 1-1 Wycombe
Crisis-club Barnsley paid for poor finishing as a game they should have won comfortably ended in a draw with Wycombe. Barnsley took the lead just after the half-hour following a long period of pressure. Kevin Betsy delivered a perfect cross straight on to the head of Rory Fallon, who made no mistake from four yards. The lead was shortlived as Wycombe were stung into action, forcing a series of set-pieces. And just before the interval Keith Ryan hit a spectacular volley that gave keeper Andy Marriott no chance. After the restart Barnsley raised the tempo as Wycombe sat back, and they peppered the visitors' goal. Betsy was denied by a point-blank save from Frank Talia as Barnsley poured forward, but the cash-strapped Yorkshire club were left to reflect on two points dropped.
