Cheltenham 1-1 QPR
Cheltenham put their recent dismal form behind them with a well-earned draw at home to high-flying QPR. But they had to come from behind after the visitors took an early lead with a wonder goal from on-loan midfielder Jerome Thomas. The Arsenal teenager pounced on a loose pass by Cheltenham's John Finnigan and curled a stunning shot into the top corner of Steve Book's goal. As the half progressed the home side had the bulk of the chances but it was not until the 65th minute that their pressure finally paid off. Grant McCann won the ball wide on the left and when he whipped in a low cross Martin Devaney was on hand to rifle home. The game finished in controversy when Rangers had central defender Clarke Carlisle ordered off 10 minutes from time following an incident with Cheltenham striker Julian Alsop.
