Swindon 2-2 Colchester

French striker Eric Sabin rescued a point for Swindon in the draw with Colchester after the visitors had stormed into a two-goal lead.

Supporters were calling for the head of manager Andy King just as Sabin lashed in his second goal of the season.

Colchester went ahead thanks to a horrific blunder by goalkeeper Bart Griemink, who allowed a tamely-struck free-kick from Joe Keith to squirm under his body for Scott McGleish to run the ball over the line.

Dutchman Griemink then flapped at a Kem Izzet cross to allow Thomas Pinault to double Colchester's lead.

It looked as though Swindon were about to slip to their 10th defeat in 11 league games before skipper Andy Gurney began the revival, which was complete thanks to Sabin's late heroics.

Swindon: Griemink, Duke, Heywood, Reeves, Gurney, Jackson, Hewlett, Robinson, Invincibile, Sabin, Davis.
Subs: Farr, Edds, Miglioranzi, Dykes, Young.

Colchester: Brown, Stockley, Steele, White, Keith, Pinault, Izzet, Bowry, Stockwell, McGleish, Rapley.
Subs: Morgan, Coote, Odunsi, Halford, McKinney.

Referee: M Warren (W Midlands).
