A fine brace from Darren Currie earned Wycombe a 2-1 win despite a glorious effort from Plymouth Argyle's Frenchman David Friio.

Wycombe tore into the visitors from the outset - and Plymouth were grateful for goalkeeper Romain Larrieu's giant frame in blocking a close-range effort from Stuart Roberts.

Wycombe, whose four-match losing sequence had seen them tumble down the table, took the lead after 27 minutes thanks to a Currie penalty after Hasney Oljofree fouled Roberts in the area.

Argyle searched for an equaliser, Micky Evans drawing fine saves from Martin Taylor before Friio equalised with a fantastic 30-yard effort.

Taylor denied Friio a second seven minutes later with a stunning save - and Wycombe sealed the points when Currie pounced on a loose ball inside the penalty area to bury his shot under the diving Larrieu.
