Cheltenham 1-4 Notts County

Notts County never looked back after storming into a two-goal lead inside the opening three minutes at Cheltenham.

Mark Stallard set the ball rolling after just 105 seconds when he reacted first in the six-yard box to convert a fierce Darren Caskey free-kick.

Stallard turned provider less than a minute later, pouncing on a weak Michael Duff back-header before squaring for strike partner Danny Allsopp to beat goalkeeper Steve Book.

Allsopp grabbed his second and County's third in the 56th minute when he waltzed through a flat Robins defence and rounded Book before slotting home.

Julian Alsop gave Cheltenham hope in the 65th minute after he headed home a cross from fellow striker Tony Naylor.

Stallard had the final say with a fine individual goal three minutes from time, leaving Mark Yates and Book in his wake before finding an empty net.

Cheltenham: Book, Griffin, Mike Duff, Walker, Victory, McAuley, Yates, Finnigan, Milton, Alsop, Naylor. Subs: Brayson, Higgs, Spencer, Jones, Williams.

Notts County: Garden, Stone, Fenton, Richardson, Nicholson, Bolland, Caskey, Brough, Liburd, Allsopp, Stallard. Subs: Mildenhall, Ireland, Heffernan, Hackworth, Cas.
