Blackpool 3-2 Port Vale

Port Vale's five-match winning run came to an end with a defeat at Blackpool.

The visitors had taken the lead in the 23rd minute when Sam Collins beat the offside trap and netted from close range.

However, the game was turned on its head in the second half with two goals in two minutes from John Murphy.

Murphy headed home an inch-perfect Paul Dalglish cross from eight yards and was then on hand to poke home from close range just two minutes later after Mark Goodlad spilled a Keith Southern drive.

Vale, however, came back into the game when Marc Bridge-Wilkinson delivered a clinical finish from just inside the box after 70 minutes.

The Seasiders regained the lead on 81 minutes when on-loan defender Peter Clarke headed home his third goal of the season following a Murphy flick-on.
