Peterborough ended their six-match losing streak but failed to score for the seventh successive game and had to settle for a draw at home to Crewe.

After four other clean sheets, Crewe seemed content with a point as they offered little on the attacking front, although Posh failed to convert their dominance into goals.

Icelandic midfielder Helgi Danielsson had a second-minute shot kicked over the crossbar by goalkeeper Clayton Ince, while Jason Lee and Adam Newton also went close with first-half efforts.

Ince produced fine saves from Francis Green and Newton after the break, while Crewe were restricted to a single Neil Sorvel chance that flashed wide.
