Bristol City made it three wins out of three with a superb victory in the Division Two encounter against Tranmere at Ashton Gate.

Brian Tinnion, who was making his first appearance of the new season, broke the deadlock with a 70th-minute penalty after a controversial handball was given against Rovers defender Graham Allen.

And just four minutes later, Scott Murray sealed the win with an excellent finish.

With Tranmere's stubborn resistance finally broken City turned on the style and substitute Lee Matthews almost made it three as Danny Wilson's men carved out one of their best performances of the season.
