Peterborough 0-1 Colchester

A superb Joe Keith strike gave Colchester the three points to send Peterborough crashing to their fourth successive defeat at London Road.

The U's full-back settled an awful game with a rare moment of brilliance, finding the top corner with a free-kick 10 minutes from time.

Peterborough could only manage a couple of serious efforts all afternoon - and they both came from non-contract striker Roger Willis.

His shot was tipped onto the crossbar by goalkeeper Richard McKinney before he looped a header onto the roof of the net.

The visitors had Mark Warren sent off a minute from time for two yellow cards.

Peterborough: Tyler, Gill, Joseph, Edwards, MacDonald, Newton, Forsyth, Bullard, Danielsson, Green, Willis. Subs: Rea, Andy Clarke, Connor, Shields, Fenn.

Colchester: McKinney, Keith, Warren, White, Johnson, Stockwell, Pinault, Bowry, Izzet, Morgan, Coote. Subs: Brown, McGleish, Rapley, Steele, Odunsi.

Referee: P Armstrong (Berkshire)
