Brentford 3-1 Swindon
Rowan Vine's brace helped Brentford preserve their unbeaten record and storm to the top of the table with a home win over Swindon. Having already seen one effort go wide, Vine - on loan from Portsmouth - put the Bees ahead in the seventh minute when he drilled the ball home from Kevin O'Connor's cross from the edge of the area. Vine doubled his side's advantage seven minutes later, this time heading home Michael Dobson's pinpoint cross. It brought an immediate response from Swindon, who cut the deficit through Jimmy Davis within three minutes. O'Connor blasted a shot over the crossbar early in the second half but Brentford sealed victory 13 minutes from time when Mark McCammon fired home.
