Swindon produced a devastating first-half performance at Saltergate to inflict defeat on Chesterfield.

The Wiltshire club cruised into a three-goal interval lead and although Chesterfield battled back after the break, Swindon deservedly collected their second win of the season.

Danny Invincibile scored a brace and set up a third for impressive Eric Sabin before the home side replied from the penalty spot.

Invincibile grabbed his first goal in the 12th minute and then took advantage of a powerful Sabin run to drive home his second six minutes before the interval.

He then crossed for Sabin to head the third goal in the 42nd minute, but Glynn Hurst revived Chesterfield from the spot in the 55th minute.

Sam Parkin restored Swindon's three-goal lead in the 57th minute but Hurst grabbed his second goal of the night from close range after Rob Edwards' free-kick had hit the crossbar.
