Martin Bullock and Lee Collins were sent off as Blackpool's season got off to a nightmare start at Bristol City.

The pair were dismissed within two minutes of each other early in the second half.

Bullock went first, for kicking out at Tommy Doherty, and Collins followed after an off-the-ball incident involving Aaron Brown.

It took City 15 minutes to take advantage of their superior numbers, but once Lee Peacock had headed home a Mickey Bell corner the points were secure.

Scott Murray scored the second goal three minutes into stoppage time.

Blackpool goalkeeper Phil Barnes went upfield for a free-kick as the visitors went looking for an equaliser and when the ball was cleared, Murray shot into the unguarded net.

Blackpool boss Steve McMahon was lectured by the referee for his protests following the second red card.
