Bristol City 1-1 Stoke
Andy Cooke's 16th-minute goal was not enough to give Stoke a confidence-boosting victory ahead of the play-offs as they drew at Bristol City. The experienced striker shot home from 10 yards after Chris Iwelumo's flick-on had dissected City's defence. But the Robins battled back in the second period and equalised when Aaron Brown fired his first goal of the season with a low 68th-minute shot. The goal was made by Liam Rosenior, son of former West Ham striker Leroy, seconds after coming on as a substitute for his league debut. Christian Roberts wasted three good chances to win the game for the Robins after the break.
Bristol City: Phillips, Carey, Lever, Darren Jones, Murray, Burnell, Doherty, Aaron Brown, Woodman, Peacock, Roberts. Subs: Stowell, Marvin Brown, Rosenior, Coles, Steve Jones. Stoke: Cutler, Brightwell, Handyside, Shtaniuk, Vandeurzen, Gudjonsson, O'Connor, Dinning, Goodfellow, Cooke, Iwelumo. Subs: Henry, Dadason, Burton, Miles, Viander. Referee: D Pugh (Bebington).
