QPR kept up their late run towards the play-offs with a win at Swindon Town - their fourth straight win at The County Ground.

On-loan Arsenal winger Jerome Thomas scored the winning goal 15 minutes from time after being put in the clear by Matthew Rose.

Swindon had the better of a disappointing first half but Eric Sabin was guilty of spurning a number of chances and also had a penalty appeal turned down.

Swindon substitute Paul McAreavey almost scored a freak second-half goal in the windy conditions when his cross bounced off the crossbar.

Swindon: Griemink, Gurney, Willis, Heywood, Duke, Howe, Hewlett, Robinson, Sabin, Invincibile, Young. Subs: McKinney, Paul Edwards, Reeves, Nathan Edwards, McAreavey.

QPR: Evans, Forbes, Palmer, Shittu, Bignot, Langley, Peacock, Rose, Thomas, Gallen, Foley. Subs: Duncan, Murphy, Digby, Fitzgerald, Agogo.

Referee: A Hall (Birmingham)
