Bournemouth remain deep in relegation trouble after drawing a game they dominated.

Northern Ireland international Warren Feeney missed several chances for the visitors, although it took a magnificent 14th-minute save by Mark Goodlad to deny him from point-blank range.

Bournemouth went even closer in the 67th minute as Shaun Maher's six-yard effort from a James Hayter corner was cleared off the line by Matt Carragher.

Vale produced little as an attacking force, with substitute Sean McClare shooting over the crossbar from their only real opening.
