Bobby Zamora put Brighton on the brink of First Division football with the only goal of the game at Peterborough.

Zamora unleashed an unstoppable 64th-minute half-volley to send almost 4,000 Albion fans into ecstasy as he made a surprise return from a dislocated shoulder.

The striker's 32nd goal of the season made amends for a woeful third-minute penalty miss as Mark Tyler blocked his tame drive.

Goalkeeper Tyler kept Posh in it before the break with a string of saves.

Andy Clarke, Helgi Danielsson and substitute Neale Fenn were all denied by Brighton stopper Michels Kuipers.
