Peterborough 2-1 Wycombe
E-mail your reaction to Football Talk Peterborough rode their luck before finally banishing their relegation fears with a narrow win over Wycombe. Leon McKenzie and Francis Green grabbed Posh's goals, but they needed a late defensive effort to hold out for all three points. McKenzie fired Barry Fry's side in front after 14 minutes when Green's persistence unlocked the visitors' defence. But Peterborough were lucky to lead at half-time when Sean Devine's awful penalty bobbled wide after Marc Joseph had tripped Wycombe danger man Darren Currie. Green doubled the home side's lead on the hour-mark with a cool finish. But the introduction of new signing Richard Harris sparked a Wycombe revival. Within two minutes of his arrival, Harris had brought the best out of Mark Tyler with a curling drive. And soon afterwards his cross fell at the feet of Dannie Bulman, whose shot rebounded off the post into Tyler's arms. Wycombe's pressure finally told 15 minutes from time when Tyler punched a Currie corner into his own net, but Posh clung on for an important win.
