Chesterfield battled to a disappointing draw with QPR at Loftus Road.

Rangers, despite having most of the play, lacked a cutting edge up front.

Their top scorer Andy Thomson went closest to breaking the deadlock after going on as a second-half substitute but pulled his shot wide with just goalkeeper Nathan Abbey to beat.

The visitors appeared happy to settle for a point and did not manage a shot until the 74th minute when Jamie Burt fired just over from 25 yards.
