Tranmere's bid for a play-off place suffered a dent as Swindon held them to a goalless draw at Prenton Park.

Rovers had the better chances in dreadful conditions but a lack of ruthlessness and good fortune in front of goal denied them the vital breakthrough.

Nick Henry struck the crossbar in the 47th minute and also looped the ball onto the top netting four minutes later.

Bart Griemink in the Town goal produced excellent saves from Alan Navarro in the first half and Jason Koumas late on to keep the scores level.

But home stopper John Achterberg was forced into the save of the match to beat out Guiliano Grazioli's powerful shot in the first half.

Swindon could have snatched victory 12 minutes from time when Danny Invincible ran clear and rounded the keeper, but his shot drifted wide of the open goal.
