Brentford kept their promotion push on course with a dramatic victory over lowly Notts County at Griffin Park.

The Bees totally dominated the first half but could not break the deadlock with Paul Evans, Ben Burgess, Steven Sidwell and Darren Powell all going close.

After the break, the Magpies took a shock lead when Darren Caskey headed the ball home at the far post on the hour-mark.

Brentford pushed forward and equalised after 77 minutes.

Ian Baraclough was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box and Evans stepped up to convert the spot-kick.

On the stroke of full-time, Burgess fired the ball home from 10 yards to score Brentford's second goal and secure three points.
