Vale savour derby win
Port Vale's Marc Bridge-Wilkinson described the club's 1-0 win over Potteries rivals at the Britannia stadium as their biggest win of the season.

Bridge-Wilkinson played the full 90 minutes in the game for the first time this season as he continued his comeback from a hamstring injury.

"The result speaks for itself," Bridge-Wilkinson told the club's official website.

"It means a lot to the fans and the players. It was just a fantastic day."

Stoke's Wayne Thomas was left to rue the missed opportunity of climbing to second place in the table.

"Everyone is down, but we've got to pick ourselves up quickly," he told the club's official website.

"We're still in the middle of a promotion race, and we've got a week now to get ready for Notts County."
