Port Vale 3-2 Oldham
E-mail your reaction to Football Talk Steve McPhee's 12th goal of the season thwarted Oldham's terrific second-half fightback as Vale gained a 3-2 win. First-half goals from Sean McClare after 22 minutes, his first for the club, and Stephen Brooker at the stroke of half-time, his 10th of the season, put Vale in the driving seat. But Oldham looked the more likely winners after Matt Appleby's 25-yard drive pulled one back in the 48th minute and Carlo Corazzin equalised 20 minutes from time. Lee Duxbury struck a post as the visitors continued to pile forward, before a defensive slip gave McPhee the chance to fire in an 81st minute decider.
