Huddersfield goalkeeper Martyn Margetson produced a great display as the Terriers stretched their unbeaten league run to 10 matches with a draw at home to Stoke.

Time and again Margetson defied Stoke to keep Lou Macari's men on course for a play-off place.

Margetson stood his ground after 38 minutes to keep out James O'Connor's shot from the edge of the area before Leon Knight almost opened the scoring for the hosts only to see his right-foot shot saved by Neil Cutler.

Margetson was in the thick of the action just before the hour-mark when Clive Clarke and O'Connor helped create a chance for Chris Iwelumo, but his effort was magnificently saved.

Knight had another effort tipped around the post by agile Cutler after 67 minutes before Marc Goodfellow's shot for the Potters went inches over the crossbar at the other end.

Dwayne Mattis' shot from the edge of the area went wide with 16 minutes left before Margetson dived bravely at the feet of Iwelumo in the final seconds.

Huddersfield thought they had won it in the fourth minute of stoppage time when Clyde Wijnhard, a late substitute, was brilliantly set free by Thomas Heary but fired his shot inches wide.
