Cambridge held on to earn a goalless derby draw at the Abbey Stadium despite the visitors hitting the woodwork three times. Peterborough, with only one point from seven matches, dominated and Leon McKenzie was responsible for two of the near misses. Neale Fenn's shot rolled the wrong way after hitting a post with 20 minutes left to compound their misery. Peterborough also went close to scoring in the 36th minute but McKenzie saw his header cleared off the goalline by Luke Guttridge. Both sides had goals disallowed for offside and Cambridge had to wait until the 86th minute to create their only real chance when Armand One broke into the box but had a shot blocked at the post by Simon Rea.
