Wrexham won their bottom-of-the-table battle with a late goal from striker Lee Trundle.

The visitors had taken the lead with the simplest of goals from Danny Allsopp, whose cross in the first minute went through goalkeeper Kristian Rogers' hands and into the net.

Wayne Phillips, Wrexham captain for the day with Brian Carey ruled out through illness, equalised after 12 minutes with a 30-yard drive which took a deflection.

Both sides battled hard for the advantage after the break but just when it looked as if the game would end in a draw, Trundle popped up to fire home the winner three minutes from time.
