Wycombe 5-3 Brentford

Wycombe staged a magnificent fightback to claim a stunning 5-3 victory against Brentford in a pulsating clash at Adams Park.

Brentford, who had not won in their last three league games, dominated the early stages.

And the Bees snatched the lead after 13 minutes when striker Lloyd Owusu hit his ninth goal of the season.

Wycombe, unbeaten at home this season, fell further behind in the 26th minute as Paul Evans converted from the penalty spot after defender Chris Vinnicombe had fouled Ivar Ingimarsson.

But Wanderers clawed their way back into the game three minutes before the break

Midfielder Darren Currie struck powerful free-kick flew, which past stranded Bees keeper Olafur Gottskalksson via the heel of a defender.

The home side equalised seven minutes after the break when Vinnicombe smashed a glorious 25-yard half-volley past the bemused keeper.

But Brentford refused to give in and regained the lead after 59 minutes, striker Ben Burgess rising highest to head home Owusu's cross.

Wycombe drew level again just five minutes later. Michael Simpson found striker Andy Rammell and after his initial shot crashed off the post, the ball fell perfectly for him to slam home his 10th goal of the season.

Surging forward, Wycombe went ahead for the first time in the 69th minute as Rammell netted his second, and in injury time Dannie Bulman completed the scoring in an amazing game from a Stuart Roberts cross.

Wycombe: Taylor, Senda, Rogers, McCarthy, Vinnicombe, Currie, Bulman, Simpson, Roberts, Rammell, Walker. Subs: McSporran, Carroll, Emblen, Cousins, Lee.

Brentford: Gottskalksson, Dobson, Powell, Ingimarsson, Gibbs, Sidwell, Evans, Mahon, Hunt, Owusu, Burgess. Subs: Paul Smith, Hutchinson, O'Connor, McCammon, Theobald.
