A Nick Henry goal five minutes into the second half was enough to give Tranmere their fourth home victory of the season. The result was tough on Huddersfield in a game which came to life after the interval. The visitors created a number of chances but Andy Booth twice headed over following corners. John Thorrington saw a free-kick deflected inches wide and Chris Holland had a low drive well saved by goalkeeper Joe Murphy. Henry's goal was a close-range effort from a cross by Jason Koumas. Tranmere: Murphy, Yates, Allen, Sharps, Roberts, Mellon, Flynn, Henry, Koumas, Barlow, Rideout. Subs: Challinor, Achterberg, Parkinson, Allison, Hume. Huddersfield: Margetson, Moses, Gray, Clarke, Jenkins, Heary, Thorrington, Mattis, Holland, Booth, Schofield. Subs: Dyson, Macari, Hay, Brown, Phillip Senior. Referee: M Clattenburg (Cramlington)
