Wrexham 1-3 Port Vale
Managerless Wrexham slumped to their fourth successive defeat with a home loss to Port Vale at the Racecourse Ground.

Following the exits of manager Brian Flynn and his assistant Kevin Reeves, coach Joey Jones was placed in temporary charge.

But goals from Steve McPhee (42 and 82) and one from Chris Killen a minute after the break demoralised Wrexham.

Craig Faulconbridge pulled one back (56) but the Red Dragons were second best throughout.

Wrexham: Rogers, Miller, Roberts, Lawrence, Holmes, Gibson, Phillips, Ferguson, Blackwood, Faulconbridge, Trundle. Subs: Chalk, Edwards, Morris, Morrell, Evans.

Port Vale: Goodlad, Burns, Burton, Ingram, Cummins, Osborn, McPhee, Brisco, Hardy, Brooker, Killen. Subs: Delaney, Burgess, O'Callaghan, Armstrong, Rowland.

Referee: G Frankland (Middlesbrough).
