Swindon 2-0 Brentford
Swindon bounced back from their 4-0 mauling by Chesterfield with a fine victory over Brentford at the County Ground.
Roy Evans' side nearly made a dream start but Paul Edwards was denied by a superb Olafur Gottskalksson save in the sixth minute. Town continued to push and David Duke and Danny Invincible had efforts on goal which Gottskalksson was also equal too. Home goalkeeper Bart Griemink was not to be outdone, however, and he too produced an impressive stop from Lloyd Owusu to keep the score level. But after Paul Evans had put a weak shot wide for the visitors, the Robins went straight up to the other end to take a 39th-minute lead through Invincible. Giuliano Grazioli sealed victory for Town in the 63rd minute and condemned Brentford to their first away defeat of the season.

Brentford: Gottskalksson, Lovett, Mahon, Powell, Ingimarsson, Price, Evans, Caceres, Gibbs, Owusu, Burgess. Subs: Smith, Rowlands, Anderson, O'Connor, Williams. Referee: L Cable (Woking).
