Oldham 4-0 Bury
High-flying Oldham made it five games unbeaten at home with a victory that
left derby rivals Bury stranded at the bottom of Division Two.
The Latics went ahead after eight minutes when skipper Lee Duxbury headed in his third goal of the season. Matthew Tipton grabbed the second when his shot went in off a post a minute before half-time. There was no respite for the Shakers after the break as Oldham made it 3-0 when Canada international Carlo Corazzin grabbed his third goal in four games. Substitute Mark Allott completed the rout in the last minute after Bury had suffered more misery when Gareth Seddon was sent off for foul and abusive language.
Oldham: Kelly, McNiven, Balmer, Prenderville, Rickers, Duxbury, Dudley, Eyres, Darren Sheridan, Corazzin, Tipton. Subs: Miskelly, Allott, John Sheridan, Innes, Hotte. Bury: Kenny, Unsworth, Swailes, Syros, Armstrong, Billy, Jarrett, Reid, Singh, Lawson, Newby. Subs: Collins, Clegg, Forrest, Murphy, Seddon. Referee: M Pike (Barrow-in-Furness).
