Bournemouth 1-0 Reading
A second-half strike from James Hayter gave Bournemouth a over Reading
and secured their second victory at the Avenue Stadium.
Midfielder Hayter found the target in the 71st minute after Warren Feeney's cross-shot had been parried by Reading keeper Phil Whitehead. Whitehead had kept eight clean sheets in his previous 10 league and cup games and he had to deny Hayter a second goal a minute later. Nicky Forster and Martin Butler had gone close for the visitors earlier in the second half. Substitute Jamie Cureton went close with a diving header in injury time but Bournemouth held on to claim three vital points.
