Notts Co 0-0 Brentford
Goalkeeper Olafur Gottskalksson was Brentford's hero as two fine first-half saves helped stretch their unbeaten run to six matches after a goalless draw.
The Icelandic goalkeeper made outstanding saves from Danny Allsopp and Kevin Nicholson during County's purple patch and had a crucial bearing on the afternoon. Gary Owers was wide with a header when County again opened up the Brentford defence and Ian Baraclough was also off target midway through the second half. But Steve Coppell's Bees showed themselves to be strong at the back and County had to settle for a third successive Meadow Lane draw. Brentford struggled to make clear cut chances which will have disappointed Coppell, but they are the first side to prevent County from scoring this season.
