David Farrell saved a point for Peterborough

Graham Kavanagh fired his first goal for Cardiff since a £1m summer switch from Stoke, but Peterborough fought back to secure a 1-1 draw.

Kavanagh struck after 18 minutes with a well-placed shot from the edge of the penalty area but David Farrell levelled for Posh on the stroke of half-time.

Less than a minute later Peterborough's Simon Rea was stretchered off with a head injury after producing a splendid block to deny Des Hamilton.

Posh also lost Mark Tyler and Howard Forinton as they played second fiddle for much of the second half.
