Swindon 0-0 Peterborough
Swindon Town missed a penalty and finished the game with 10 men as new boss Roy
Evans endured an eventful return to football management in his side's 0-0 draw
with Peterborough.
Keith O'Halloran should have put the home side in front from the spot after Frenchman Eric Sabin had been hacked down after 33 minutes but the Irishman woefully missed the target. Encouraged by their let-off, Peterborough moved forward and transfer-listed John Cullen went close with a looping header as Barry Fry's side looked to take advantage. Giuliano Grazioli was sent off after 62 minutes for a two-footed lunge and Andy Gurney was lucky not to follow him down the tunnel five minutes later as Swindon grew increasingly frustrated. Former Wimbledon striker Andy Clarke created the best chance for Posh with a weaving run after 48 minutes but Cullen should have done better from close range.
Swindon: Griemink, Gurney, Reeves, Heywood, Invincible, Howe, Hewlett, O'Halloran, Duke, Grazioli, Sabin. Subs: McKinney, Davis, Steve Robinson, Ruddock, Brayley. Peterborough: Tyler, Joseph, Rea, Edwards, Williams, Cullen, Bullard, Oldfield, Clarke, Forinton, Green. Subs: Farrell, Fenn, Danielsson, Forsyth, Steele. Referee: P Walton (Northants)
