Wycombe 1-2 Wigan
Wycombe were condemned to their ninth home league defeat of the season after Wigan substitute Peter Beagrie hammered home a last-gasp winner for the visitors.

The Latics totally dominated the opening period with striker Lee McCulloch finally breaking the deadlock in first-half stoppage time when he bundled the ball home following a corner.

Wycombe manager Lawrie Sanchez must have had harsh words for his men at the interval and, after Roy Carroll had saved well from Steve Brown, the Chairboys finally equalised after 72 minutes.

Brown delivered Wycombe's fifth corner of the game and defender Paul McCarthy rose to head in the equaliser.

Wycombe defender Jamie Bates was dismissed for a second bookable offence after 82 minutes.

Wigan midfielder Roberto Martinez followed him four minutes later after being shown a second yellow card.

But Beagrie had the last word when he ran 30 yards before unleashing a terrific shot past Wycombe goalkeeper Martin Taylor.

Wycombe: Taylor, Cousins, McCarthy, Bates, Vinnicombe, Marsh, Brown, Simpson, Bulman, Rammell, Whittingham. Subs: Senda, Clegg, Carroll, Essandoh, Lee.

Wigan: Carroll, McGibbon, Balmer, De Zeeuw, Sheridan, Dalglish, Martinez, Brannan, Ashcroft, Liddell, McCulloch. Subs: Stillie, Beagrie, Bidstrup, Haworth, Sharp.

Referee: P Rejer (Tipton)
