"We are certainly not dead yet."

Swansea 1-1 N'hampton
Steve Watkin struck in the 53rd minute as relegation-threatened Swansea came from behind to claim an important point against Northampton.

Watkin side-footed the ball home off the post after the Cobblers' defence had failed to clear Matthias Verschave's cross.

The visitors had taken the lead two minutes before half-time after a mix-up in the Swans' area.

Steven Howard was presented with an open goal after goalkeeper Roger Freestone had collided with Nick Cusack as he tried to reach a John Frain corner.

Howard duly took the chance to head the ball into the unguarded net.

Swansea had much the better of the second half and could have snatched all three points if Watkin's 73rd-minute header from a David Romo free-kick had not gone the wrong side of the post.

Swansea: Freestone, Howard, Todd, Bound, Fabiano, Lacey, Price, Cusack, Romo, Watkin, Verschave. Subs: Phillips, Jason Jones, Roberts, Jenkins, Boyd.

Northampton: Welch, Hope, Frain, Sampson, Savage, Hunt, Jim Whitley, Hargreaves, Gabbiadini, Forrester, Howard. Subs: Ferguson, Morrow, Green, Sollitt, Hodge.

Referee: T Parkes (Birmingham)
