Swansea's Giovanni Savarese suffered a concussion
Bury's Paul Reid scored a penalty in each half as Swansea, who finished the game with 10 men, were hammered.

Goalkeeper Jason Jones, making his first league appearance for two years in place of the suspended Roger Freestone, was sent off in the 61st minute for a professional foul on Colin Cramb.

Reid fired in his first spot-kick after Jason Price fouled Cramb and then doubled his tally after another challenge on Cramb by Jones, for which he was shown the red card.

"I don't think I should have got sent off," Jones said. "It was one-on-one, he's knocked the ball past and I've tried t get out of the way because I thought he'd knocked it too far.

Retake

"As he's tried to jump over me his knee has just caught me in the head by accident and he's gone down - I think it's pretty unlucky to get sent off."

Youth keeper Alex Davies saved Reid's first kick but could not stop the retake after referee Mark Warren ordered the penalty to be taken again.

Lee Connell notched his first senior goal three minutes from the end to give Bury their fourth victory in six games and put Swansea closer to Division Three.

Swansea may also be without their leading scorer, Giovanni Savarese, for two weeks after the Venezuelan international was taken off with concussion early in the first half.

Swansea: Jason Jones, Howard, Bound, Price, Romo, Cusack, Fabiano, Lacey, Jenkins, Savarese, Verschave. Subs: Watkin, Phillips, Roberts, Todd, Davis.
