Swansea 1-2 Oxford
Oxford United came from behind to claim their first points in nine away matches this season as sad Swansea wasted numerous chances and had Matthew Bound sent off for violent conduct.

The Swans were given the perfect start after only 12 minutes when Steve Watkin turned home a right-wing cross from Jason Price to blow a hole in the worst defence in the Second Division.

But if thought they were in for an easy ride they were given a nasty shock six minutes later when Oxford's Joey Beauchamp hit his fourth goal of the season with a cracking left-foot drive from 30-yards.

Beauchamp was then involved in Keith Andrews' strike in the 34th minute that put Oxford ahead.

His corner from the left was not properly cleared and fell to Andrews standing just outside the penalty area.

His well-struck shot flew past Roger Freestone's outstretched arms and into the top right-hand corner.

Swansea's misery was completed when Bound was dismissed after 68 minutes after appearing to elbow Phil Gray.

Swans boss John Hollins said: "It is a test of what we are made of and if you are not made of much you won't be here long.

"We have to defend better. We have to play better than that," he explained.
