Burnley's hopes of reaching the Championship play-offs took a further blow with defeat at Bristol City.
Ross Wallace, Chris Eagles and Marvin Elliott shot wide for the visitors before Brett Pitman finished Albert Adomah's cross to give City the lead.
The Clarets could have levelled after the break but Andre Bikey headed over and Daniel Fox had a free-kick saved.
And they were made to pay when Nicky Maynard fired home from close range to secure victory for the Robins.
The defeat stretched Burnley's winless run to three games and leaves them eighth in the table, three points off the play-off pack but with a game in hand.
Despite the constant threat of City's Jamal Campbell-Ryce, Burnley were able to carve out regular chances in the first half, with Eagles testing home goalkeeper David James with a curling free-kick and a 20-yard shot.
However, Eddie Howe's side fell behind when Pitman, who was profilic under Howe at Bournemouth, latched onto Adomah's right-wing cross and fired into the top corner from 12 yards.
Maynard fluffed a chance to extend City's lead early in the second half and Burnley could have levelled through Bikey and Fox.
But the former Crewe man made amends with a low shot to notch his fourth goal in six games.
