Swansea v Doncaster

Swansea 3-0 Doncaster

Luke Moore scored his first goal for Swansea City in a comfortable win over injury-hit Doncaster Rovers.

Scott Sinclair's 19th goal of the season gave the Swans an early lead before Ashley Williams doubled their advantage before half-time.

Moore secured the victory from the edge of the area with 12 minutes left.

It was a wretched afternoon for Rovers, who failed to have a real shot on goal and have now lost seven of their last eight league games.

It sees Sean O'Driscoll's side slip to 17th in the table and they have gone four games without scoring.

But that will not worry promotion-chasing Swansea, who climb up to third - level on points with second-placed Nottingham Forest - and five points behind leaders Queens Park Rangers.

The home side got off to the perfect start when top scorer Sinclair gave them the lead after just six minutes.

Angel Rangel burst down the right wing and from his cross, the ex-Chelsea winger Sinclair stuck out his foot to convert from close range.

Rodgers pleased with Swans display

Swansea were playing with confidence and Rangel went close on 14 minutes with a shot which flew past the post after the Spaniard had collected the ball from Nathan Dyer.

Three minutes later Moore and Stephen Dobbie combined with the Scotsman's left foot shot from outside the area flying over the crossbar.

Moore, who hadn't scored for the Swans in six previous games, was next to have an effort but the striker hesitated and his shot from just outside the box went wide.

It was one-way traffic and another great move by Swansea saw Williams' cross-field pass finding Rangel, who went close again.

The visitors had to wait until eight minutes before the break for their first opportunity of note but on-loan Jason Euell could not apply the final touch.

And within two minutes Swansea had doubled their lead with Williams scoring for the second successive match.

The Wales international headed home from close range after his initial shot was parried by veteran keeper Neil Sullivan.

Doncaster posed little attacking threat and Swansea continued to dominate after the restart but they had to wait until 20 minutes from time to force Sullivan to make another save when he tipped Dobbie's left-footed shot over the bar.

Moore wrapped up the win with 12 minutes to go, firing home from the edge of the area to end his six-match goal drought since joining from West Brom in January.
