Fulham 4-1 Stockport
Barry Hayles
Hayles broke the deadlock after just three minutes
Barry Hayles scored twice as Fulham maintained their 100% record with a convincing victory over nine-men Stockport at Craven Cottage.

The former Bristol Rovers frontman grabbed his first after just three minutes and made it 3-1 to the home side with 14 minutes remaining.

Fulham's other goals came from John Collins and Luis Boa Morte after Kevin Cooper had bagged a shock equaliser.

Collins restored Fulham's lead in the 58th minute with a swerving 20-yard free-kick, with substitute Boa Morte scoring the fourth in style just five minutes from the end.

Outclassed

County were outclassed for the entire 90 minutes but did not help their cause when they were reduced to 10 men on the hour.

Tony Dinning was shown red after strongly disputing a decision with referee Paul Alcock.

The referee was in one of his fussy moods and booked Fulham's Rufus Brevett and Sean Davis for fouls as well as Stockport's Mike Flynn for dissent.

Visiting players Colin Woodthorpe (foul), Karim Fradin (foul), Ian Moore (dissent) and Kevin Cooper (foul) also went into the book.

Flynn was then booked for a second time in the final minutes and was duly given his marching orders.

Fulham: Taylor, Finnan, Brevett, Melville, Coleman, Clark, J. Collins, Hayles, Goldbaek, Saha, Davis. Subs: Hahnemann, W. Collins, Boa Morte, Fernandes, Betsy.

Stockport: Jones, Connolly, Flynn, Clark, Cooper, Moore, Maxwell, Woodthorpe, Fradin, Dinning, Smith. Subs: Bryngelsson, Carrigan, Bailey, Dibble, Clare.

Referee: P Alcock (Halstead).
