Championship fixtures: Portsmouth start at Coventry

Portsmouth had a torrid 2009/10 campaign on and off the pitch
Portsmouth's long-suffering fans will begin the season at Coventry

Cash-strapped Portsmouth will start their campaign in the Championship at Coventry on the opening day of the 2010/11 season on Saturday, 7 August.

Burnley host Nottingham Forest, a game which will see Clarets boss Brian Laws take on one of his former clubs.

Hull, the third club to be relegated from the Premier League, open up with a home match against Swansea.

Newly promoted Norwich and Leeds host Watford and Derby, while play-off winners Millwall visit Bristol City.

Cardiff, who lost the Championship play-off final to Blackpool, start with a home match against Sheffield United - who begin and end the season in Wales as their final game is at Swansea.
