Newcastle boss Chris Hughton has won the Championship's manager of the month award for the third time this season.

He adds the November accolade to the August and September awards.

Free-scoring Huddersfield's manager Lee Clark won the League One prize, while promotion-chasing Rotherham's Ronnie Moore was honoured in League Two.

The League's player of the month awards went to Crystal Palace's Darren Ambrose, Huddersfield's Robbie Williams and Morecambe's Laurence Wilson.

Hughton enjoyed a 100% record during November as the Magpies won all four of their league games to top the table.

The other managers shortlisted for the Championship award were Crystal Palace's Neil Warnock, Nottingham Forest's Billy Davies and West Bromwich Albion's Roberto Di Matteo.

In League One, Clark guided Huddersfield into play-off contention as they won three out of their four league games, thrashing Wycombe 6-0 after smashing six goals past Dagenham & Redbridge the previous week.

The other contenders in that division were Charlton's Phil Parkinson, Leeds' Simon Grayson and Swindon's Danny Wilson.

Rotherham also had a 100% league record under Moore in November, beating Port Vale, Torquay and Lincoln, and remain among the challengers for automatic promotion.

He won the award ahead of Chesterfield's John Sheridan, Morecambe's Sammy McIlroy and Rochdale's Keith Hill.

Meanwhile, Ambrose earned the Championship player of the month award for November after scoring from midfield in each of Palace's four league games to stretch his scoring run to six matches.

He was chosen for the award ahead of Newcastle's Kevin Nolan, Sheffield United's Darius Henderson and West Brom's Simon Cox.

In League One, Williams starred at the heart of defence as Huddersfield made it an awards double for November, while also finding the net himself on two occasions.

Also shortlisted were Bristol Rovers' Chris Lines, Charlton's Nick Bailey and Southampton's Adam Lallana.

Former Everton trainee Wilson played a key role in defence as Morecambe picked up three wins from their three league games during November, and scored in the wins against Cheltenham and Darlington.

That form won him the League Two award ahead of three strikers - Bournemouth's Brett Pitman, Bury's Andy Morrell and Rotherham's Adam Le Fondre.
