Crystal Palace 3-0 Watford

Neil Warnock celebrated his 100th league game in charge of Crystal Palace as his side eased past Watford.

Victor Moses opened the scoring after Julian Speroni's clearance caused havoc in the visiting defence before Alan Lee nodded home Danny Butterfield's cross.

Watford missed a chance to fight back on the stroke of half-time when Speroni saved Danny Graham's penalty.

The in-form Darren Ambrose then wrapped up the win from the edge of the area with his sixth goal in as many games.

Palace never looked in danger after Moses opened the scoring, beating two defenders before firing a low shot into the bottom-right corner.

The hosts then extended their lead in the sixth minute as Lee headed home a hanging right-wing cross from Butterfield.

The Hornets were handed a golden opportunity on the stroke of half-time when Lee brought down Henri Lansbury in the penalty area, but Speroni produced an outstanding save to keep out Graham's spot-kick.

Palace wrapped up the points nine minutes after the interval as Ambrose twisted and turned before beating Loach from 18 yards.

A miserable day for the Hornets was completed in injury-time as Tom Cleverley's shot struck the post.

Victory lifts Palace to within a point of Watford in the Coca-Cola Championship table and stretches the club's unbeaten run to six games.

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock told BBC London 94.9:

"When he's (Moses) like that, he's unplayable. It was a great game for him, but we all played our part today in a cracking match.

"He's had good games, and I thought today his contribution won us the game. It was a thoroughly professional performance."

Watford manager Malky Mackay:

"Letting in the two early goals was a real blow.

"Then we had the chance to get back into it with the penalty, once that misses maybe your chance has gone.

"Palace may not be able to spend big on players, like us, but if you looked at their team they had played a lot more games than my lads at this level."
