Nottm Forest 2-0 Scunthorpe

Nottingham Forest completed back-to-back wins for the first time in the league this season as they saw off Scunthorpe's dogged resistance.

Forest were wasteful, Dexter Blackstock heading wide and Nathan Tyson and David McGoldrick both shooting off target.

They broke the deadlock when Luke Chambers headed in a Chris Cohen corner before Blackstock tapped in a second from Paul Anderson's right-wing cross.

Jonathan Forte's shot deflected on to a post as Scunthorpe were denied a goal.

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies:

"We showed courage to stick to it and got what we deserved. It has been coming for weeks, that display.

"We've got to remove all negativity from this club. If we can do that then, in my opinion, there's no limit to where this group of players can get to.

"I'm pleased with the shape the squad is taking. If we get the time, then I'm very confident of where we can go."

Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins:
"The goals changed the game for us.

"At 0-0 we had a chance, but they scored and that was that. We're disappointed because we could have got something out of the game.

"We want to play football and we've tried to do that this season. It didn't pay off tonight, but we're really enjoying the challenge."
