Nottingham Forest striker Nathan Tyson has pleaded guilty to an FA charge of improper conduct in the aftermath of the league game against Derby County.

He was confronted by Rams players and the majority of both teams and coaching staff then become involved in a tussle.

Both clubs were charged with failing to control their players and officials.

Tyson told the Forest website: "I've had a long time to reflect on my actions and I intend to write to the FA and apologise.

"It wasn't the best thing to do and I'm quite embarrassed about it all.

"I shouldn't have done it. I realise that now and I would like to apologise to anyone who I offended and anyone who may have been hurt.

"I'm a better person than that. I'm a man and I know when I've made mistakes.

"I'll learn from it and definitely won't be doing anything like that again."
